I am a senior level programmer with 15 years of professional experience primarily in developing websites, internet applications, and distance learning software. Early in 2001 I started Invisible Gold, LLC which sells an easy to use content management system used by 400+ companies.

This project takes me back to the days when I had artistic involvement in LearnLinc. We were working on a complete rewrite and they allowed me to add some pretty graphics.

This animation was actually a series of 7 or 8 graphics rendered down to the system palette. The LearnLinc client actually swapped them in and out in a loop while loading. The graphics were rendered from 3D studio and finished in Photoshop. The animation basically showed different computers changing from transparent to opaque as white arrows connected them.

I was under extreme pressure to keep the file size low. I cropped the changing portion of the graphics down, and displayed them on top of a static background. However within a few versions this was replaced with a boring static image to further reduce the product size.
